Message from the Dzongdag

Kuzu-Zangpo and Welcome to all Surfers!

When the whole world shrinks to a single global village, Lhuentse Dzongkhag cannot afford to remain hidden. Therefore, with sole initiative and assistance of the Depatment of Information Technology, we would like to put before you the clear picture of Lhuentse Dzongkhag through our web page.

Although remotely located, Lhuentse Dzongkhag enjoys a historic importance in Bhutan as an origin of Wangchuck Dynasty. Besides, it is also known for several renowned pilgrimage sites of Ugyen Guru Rimpoche such as Singye Dzong, Baeyul Khenpajong and Phunying La. With soothing cool breezes of Kuri-chhu, the valley offers a panoramic view of its people, their lives and livelihoods; villages and settlements; and its physical features. Lhuntse is also endowed with rich and unique religious and cultural practices in all eight Gewogs such as Chhag, Prew, Wangzhing Rabney, Gharchhams etc.

Like wise several others come forth and this is why we intend to unfold both past and present scenario of Lhuntse through our web. While portraying the picture of Lhuntse, we also intend to make it informative and help ease working processes through this.

Therefore, we urge you to pay frequent visit to this site to keep yourselves well informed on Lhuntse Dzongkhag.

Trashi Delek.
