Brief History of the School

Lhuentse Primary School is located on the slope, overlooking the Majestic Lhuentse Dzong and Kuri Chhu. Locally the place is widely known as Tshompaling and therefore, even today majority of people name the school as Tshompaling Primary School while the school has long been registered as Lhuntse Primary School. The school campus comprises an area of 11.23 acres above and adjacent to Royal Guest House. The school was established in the year 1959, first as a Hindi Medium School and later introduced to English Medium. It is the oldest of all schools in the Dzongkhag
