Pertinent Issues:
- Poor progress of bailey bridge construction at Phawantoed. Contractor has not yet delivered the bridge parts at site despite repeated reminders and warnings from Dzongkhag. The same contractor was awarded two more works of bailey bridge at Oongarchu at Maedtsho and Shawachu at Thimyul under Gangzur gewog. The community has also submitted their grievances letter
- Proposal along with drawings, designs and estimates for the major maintenance of irrigation channel at Khepachu-Wambur costing Nu.5.3m was submitted to Wengkhar CARLEP office in May 2021- the approval is still pending from CARLEP headquarters. Request to expedite the approval.
- The land allotment criteria for Autsho town plan was drafted and submitted to NLCS by Dzongkhag in 2018. However, approval is still pending. Request to expedite the approval in order to distribute government plots to the shopkeepers.
- Up-gradation of Autsho BHU with a cost of Nu.40m under SDP funding has had poor progress. The work was given in 3 packages to expedite implementation of the activities. While the second package has been completed, the first and third package was awarded to the same contractor and is still ongoing. Despite repeated reminders and warnings from Dzongkhag, the progress has been slow.
